Your time, skills and passion are vital to our mission!

Therapeutic Horsemanship programs are incredibly volunteer intensive

Therapeutic Horsemanship programs are incredibly volunteer intensive. We offer comprehensive training to support our volunteers in becoming confident and competent helpers. We are in need of horse leaders and sidewalkers for our riding lessons, event staff, facilities maintenance, horse and equipment care, fundraising and administrative support.

We often need as many as three volunteers so that one person can ride. YOU allow our riders to learn and grow as well as ensure the success, growth, and continuation of The Middle Way.

We are providing our riders with opportunities

to practice social interactions with our instructors, other students, volunteers and our horses in addition to physical exercise associated with riding.

Learning to ride helps improve posture, balance, sensory-motor skills and mobility while increasing fitness, self esteem and feelings of success and empowerment.
